These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire understanding and agreement between you, the tour or cruise participant, referred to as the “Traveler,” and Mysterious Adventures Tours LLC, referred to as “Mysterious Adventures Tours,” “MAT,” “we,” “our,” or “us,” with respect to any and all bookings, tours, cruises, travel packages, optional activities, add-ons, or transactions made with Mysterious Adventures Tours LLC. 

These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in any tour, cruise, travel package, optional activity, or related service organized, sold, or facilitated by Mysterious Adventures Tours LLC. By booking, paying, making a reservation, accepting a travel credit, participating in a payment plan, selecting a Buy Now Pay Later option, or participating in any tour or cruise, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions. 

1. Acceptance 

Booking a tour, cruise, travel package, optional activity, or related service with Mysterious Adventures Tours LLC constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. 

Payment of any amount toward a tour or cruise, including a deposit, partial payment, full payment, installment payment, Buy Now Pay Later transaction, travel credit application, or other payment method, shall imply acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. 

By purchasing or reserving a tour or cruise, the Traveler acknowledges that they have reviewed, accepted, and agreed to the information, policies, responsibilities, limitations, payment requirements, and cancellation terms applicable to the tour or cruise selected.

It is considered upon meeting the following standards and penalties: The collected deposit is not refundable at any time.  The balance due for the tour (and options) is subject to the following penalties, after the deposit is removed from the obligation.

• Within 150+ days prior to Tour Start Date: You will forfeit the 20% non-refundable booking commitment amount only. Any remaining eligible balance paid will be refunded.
  

• Within 120–149 days prior to Tour Start Date: You will forfeit the 20% non-refundable booking commitment amount plus 25% of the remaining balance. Any remaining eligible balance paid will be refunded.
  

• Within 91–119 days prior to Tour Start Date: You will forfeit the 20% non-refundable booking commitment amount plus 50% of the remaining balance. Any remaining eligible balance paid will be refunded.
  

• Within 61–90 days prior to Tour Start Date: You will forfeit the 20% non-refundable booking commitment amount plus 75% of the remaining balance. Any remaining eligible balance paid will be refunded.
  

• Within 0–60 days prior to Tour Start Date: You will forfeit 100% of the complete tour package, options, and add-ons. No refund will be issued.
  

Your winter adventure begins in enchanting Vienna, where we will offer Transfer services from Vienna's International Airport to the hotel. Pre-Tours bookings will also be offered this courtesy.

Be prepared for this magical city’s holiday glow to welcome you at the moment you arrive. After settling in, we ease into the journey with a gentle panoramic ride through the heart of Old Town—a perfect way to shake off jet lag while taking in Vienna’s timeless beauty.

As dusk settles, we’ll glide past illuminated palaces, soaring Gothic spires, and grand boulevards wrapped in festive lights. You may even catch your first glimpse of one of Vienna’s charming Christmas markets, glowing softly in the evening air.

Today we step into the shadowed layers of Vienna, where imperial elegance meets centuries of mystery. The morning begins beneath the city streets with a visit to one of Vienna’s most intriguing crypts—an unforgettable glimpse into preserved history and the aristocratic secrets that still linger in the cool silence below.

Back above ground, we ease into the charm of Vienna’s holiday season with a meandering circuit through its most beloved Christmas markets. From medieval squares to candlelit artisan stalls tucked into narrow lanes, each stop reveals a different facet of Old Vienna’s winter magic. If timing allows, we may even slip into a seasonal shop offering Krampus masks and folklore treasures.

As night falls, a private legends tour leads us through Vienna’s darker tales—stories of noble intrigue, ancient curses, and ghosts said to wander the historic heart of the city.

After breakfast, we depart Vienna and journey into the breathtaking Lungau region, home to some of Austria's most enduring Krampus traditions. Along the way, we'll enjoy a relaxing lunch near Unternberg before our exclusive afternoon visit to Schloss Moosham, one of Austria's most legendary castles.

Famous for its medieval architecture, infamous witch trials, and centuries of ghost stories, Schloss Moosham offers a fascinating glimpse into Austria's darker history. During our private tour, we'll explore its historic halls while uncovering the legends that have made it one of the country's most mysterious landmarks.

We then continue to St. Michael in Lungau to check into our hotel before gathering for a traditional Alpine dinner and a private Krampus experience. Learn about the origins, symbolism, and folklore of these iconic Alpine figures as we begin our immersive journey into one of Austria's most captivating winter traditions.

After breakfast, we leave the Lungau region and travel to Hohenwerfen Fortress for a private guided tour of this spectacular medieval fortress. Perched high above the Salzach Valley, the castle offers breathtaking Alpine views while revealing centuries of Austrian history and legend.

We then continue to the charming town of Hallein for lunch before descending into the historic Salzwelten Salzburg, where we'll explore the world's oldest salt mine.

By late afternoon, we arrive in Salzburg and check into our hotel before heading out to experience the enchanting Salzburg Christkindlmarkt. Wander through beautifully decorated market stalls, browse handcrafted gifts, sip warm mulled wine, and soak in the festive atmosphere beneath Salzburg's illuminated cathedral and historic squares.

Today explores the rich cultural traditions of the Salzburg region. We begin in Hallein with a guided visit to the Keltenmuseum Hallein, where fascinating exhibits reveal the history of the ancient Celts and the region's early salt trade.

Following lunch at a traditional brewery, we visit one of Austria's most cherished Christmas landmarks, the Silent Night Chapel, where the beloved carol Silent Night was first performed in 1818. Learn the remarkable story behind this timeless Christmas song and its enduring legacy.

After returning to Salzburg for some time to relax, the evening offers a special private Krampus mask-carving demonstration. Meet a local artisan and discover the craftsmanship, symbolism, and generations-old techniques used to create the elaborate wooden masks that have become an iconic part of Alpine Krampus traditions. Dinner is at your leisure this evening, allowing you to explore Salzburg's excellent local restaurants.

Today we dive deeper into Salzburg’s hidden world, beginning with an extraordinary visit to the mighty Hohensalzburg Fortress. Here, a specialist site guide leads us into seldom-seen chambers and obscure corners usually closed to the public—an immersive glimpse into legends, whispered histories, and the fortress’s more enigmatic past. You’ll also have time to explore its delightful Christmas market perched high above the city.

In the afternoon, we continue to the magical grounds of Schloss Hellbrunn, where free time allows you to wander its festive displays, stroll through the gardens, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

As night falls, the atmosphere shifts dramatically. The renowned Grossgmainer Krampusse arrive in full force for their anniversary parade—an unforgettable spectacle of roaring masks, thundering bells, and ancient Alpine ritual that brings the season’s wild spirit vividly to life.

Carved directly into the Mönchsberg rock, these early-Christian chambers and peaceful burial grounds offer a serene yet haunting glimpse into Salzburg’s spiritual past.

Tonight’s Krampusläufe wind through several iconic streets, each run more energetic and electrifying than the last. From the lively Linzer Gasse to the storied Getreidegasse and finally the grand cathedral square, experience the full force of Alpine folklore as masked figures, clattering bells, and wild procession energy fill the winter night.

In the afternoon, we shift into a beloved side of Salzburg’s heritage with a special Sound of Music–themed experience. Whether you’re a devoted fan or simply curious, this lighthearted excursion offers a charming glimpse into the city’s musical legacy and scenic beauty.

As night falls, the holiday mood takes a wild turn. In the nearby village of Grödig, Krampus groups storm the streets for one of the region’s most exhilarating runs. Expect roaring masks, echoing bells, and an electric atmosphere that makes St. Nicholas Day unforgettable.

Today we journey into Austria's breathtaking Salzkammergut region, where towering mountains and shimmering lakes create one of the country's most iconic landscapes. After a celebratory lunch in Hallstatt or nearby Bad Goisern, you'll have free time to explore the storybook village of Hallstatt, strolling its charming streets, browsing local shops, or simply taking in the unforgettable lakeside scenery.

As evening approaches, we head to Bad Goisern to enjoy an early light dinner before experiencing the thrilling Hallstatt & Bad Goisern Krampus Run. Witness hundreds of elaborately costumed Krampus performers fill the streets in one of the region's most exciting and authentic holiday traditions—a spectacular finale to our unforgettable journey into the legends and folklore of the Austrian Alps.

After the festivities, we return to Salzburg for our final overnight stay.
